Staro mestno jedro Kranja stoji na 30 metrov visoki skali in je skozi svojo zgodovino pustilo pomemben pečat na slovensko kulturo in dediščino. V mestu so živela in ustvarjala tudi večja slovenska imena kot na primer France Prešeren, Žiga Zoiz, Simon Jenko in Leopold Layer. The Old Town of Kranj stands on a 30-metre-high rock and has left an important mark on Slovenian culture and heritage throughout its history.
